Bengaluru: A meeting was held between Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and veteran Congress leader M. Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday, June 19 and this meeting has led to intense speculation that CM is trying to build bridges with Kharge who is reportedly not happy with Siddaramaiah’s domination of Congress affairs in the state.
Addressing pressperson after the meeting, Mallikarjun told reporters that the CM had only come to his house to seek his advice as he was proceeding to Kalaburagi district to undertake a village stay programme soon.
He further added, “I told him that people may raise issues in the constituency which he should address.”
However, sources in Congress confided that Mallikarjun was actually upset with Kumaraswamy for removing T. Suneel Kumar from the post of Bengaluru city police commissioner.
