H1N1 cases rise in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The health department have cautioned about the rise in swine flu cases in the city.
As of Sunday, 46 recent cases of swine flu were recorded by the department.
Talking to a news website, Dr Sreenivasa, Bengaluru health officer said, “The department is asking people to take necessary steps and precautionary measures to prevent this. Basic hygiene such as washing hands, cover their face when coughing and sneezing should be implemented.
Earlier H1N1 was seen in mostly in Shivamogga district with a total of 16 cases being reported as of September 27. Health department officials in the state suspect that the flu could be spreading from Bengaluru district.
Areas such as Dommasandra, Singasandra, Sahakara Nagar, Konanakunte, Begapur, MS Palya, Amruthahalli, Jalahalli, Avalahalli, KR Puram, B Narayanapura, Doddakannahalli, Garudacharpalya, Siddapura, Varthur, Kodi, Ramamurthy Nagar, and Marathahalli as areas susceptible to the flu.
