Haleangady: Missing man’s dead body found

Haleangady: Sampath Karkada (50), an autorickshaw driver who was missing since three days was found dead at an under-construction bridge on the Shambhavi River near Avaralu and Mattu villages on Friday morning. It is suspected to be a suicide.

The decomposing corpse was taken out of the site by Mulki police with the help of some locals. Unmarried Sampath who was working as an autorickshaw driver, was a gentle and kind person, informed people known to him.

Almost three months ago, Sampath’s brother Naveen Karkada had committed suicide by laying on the railway track near Haleangady.

Padubidre police have registered a case.
