Handkerchiefs, Cloths must be considered as masks: BBMP Commissioner

Bengaluru: Nose and mouth covered using Handkerchiefs, cloths must also be considered as masks, said, BBMP Commissioner, Manjunath Prasad

Speaking at a meeting of Police officials, BBMP and Marshall officers held in the city,  Manjunath Prasad said, ” There is no rule that one must wear a specific mask. Poor people may not have enough money to buy a mask. Hence, handkerchief and cloths used to cover nose and mouth should also be considered as masks”

City Police commissioner, Kamal Panth said, ” Traffic police will be incharge of handling mask violators. Also, strict actions will be taken against those who attack marshalls”
