Harake seva samiti to hold padayatra opposing short duration Yakshagana shows

Mangaluru:  Various associations, devotees, and Yakshagana lovers associated with Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Yakshagana Dashavatara Mandali, known as Kateel Mela, a ‘Harake Seva’ troupe will hold a padayatra from Bajpe to Kateel temple on November 6 opposing short duration shows.

The padayatra named ‘Shree Kateelammanede Bhaktara Nade’ will start around 8.30 am on Sunday, November 6.

Ashok Krishnapura, the committee member of Harake Seva Troupe said that the associations have demanded the government remove the timing deadline and allow overnight Yakshagana shows.

Various Hindu associations, devotees and Yakshagana lovers are expected to join the padayatra.
