Udupi: Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shobha Karandlaje has sought a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the murder of Hindu activist Harsha in Shivamogga.
The minister who has been campaigning in Uttar Pradesh issued a press statement that she had written to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai appealing him to transfer Harsha’s case to the NIA and to release compensation to the slain’s family. “I will soon talk to Union Home Minister Amit Shah about this,” she said.
She alleged there seems to be a bigger plot behind the murder and it must be found out.
“This is not the first time such murder has taken place. Several Hindu activists have been killed earlier in Manglauru, Mysuru, and Bengaluru,” Krandlaje alleged.
