Shivamogga: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), the apex counter-terrorism law enforcement agency in India, conducted raids at several locations in Shivamogga on Thursday in connection with the Bajrang Dal activist Harsha murder case.
Searches were conducted simultaneously at 13 locations in the district, an IANS report said.
Harsha alias Hindu Harsha, an active member of the Bajrang Dal, was killed allegedly for his involvement in gau raksha-related activities. The case was initially registered on February 21, 2022, and later the NIA took over the probe on March 23, 2022.
“During the searches conducted today at the premises of the accused and suspects, various digital devices including mobile phones, SIM cards, memory cards, hard disks, and other incriminating materials and documents have been seized,” IANS reported an NIA official as saying.
Further investigations into the matter are underway.
