Hassan horrific accident: 9 of a family, including 4 children killed

Hassan: Nine members of a family, including 5 children, perished and several others were injured in a horrific road accident near Banavara in Arasikere Taluk here on Saturday night.

The accident involved a Tempo Traveller (TT), a milk lorry, and a KSRTC bus.

The Bus rammed into the TT near BH road near Hallakere, sources said, adding that the deceased were occupants of the TT, and were returning to Bengaluru after a pilgrimage to Dharmasthala.

The deceased were identified as Leelavati (50), Chaitra (33), Samarth (10), Dimpy (12), Tanmay (10), Dhruva (2), Vandana (20), Doddaiah (60) and Bharathi (50).

Banavara police rushed to the spot. The injured have been shifted to hospitals in Araseekere and Hassan.
