Hassan man commits suicide after being placed in home quarantine

Hassan: A 55-year-old man who was placed under home quarantine allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in Manchenahalli in Channarayapatna taluk here.
The deceased had recently arrived to his hometown from Mumbai, on the occasion of Ugadi. Since he came from a different state, the health officers had put home quarantine seal on his hand and advised stay under home quarantine for 14-days.
Suspecting that he had been home quarantined as he had contracted coronavirus, the man resorted to suicide.
It is gathered that the deceased was suffering from asthma and kidney-related ailments.
Sravanabelagola police have registered a case.
