Hassan: MLA HD Revanna has demanded the State Government for dam water to be let into Hemavathi canals to avoid water scarcity in Hassan.

The MLA has warned that if the government doesn’t let the water from the dam into the canal by the 5th of March, the farmers will stage a protest and open the dam themselves.

He said “the protest will be intense and we are not afraid of getting arrested or killed”

He also added that the district is facing crisis of water presently and the government should allow the flow of water for at least a week. If not the farmers will open the dam gates themselves.
