Hassan: The week-long Hassanambha festival came to an end on Friday with the closure of the temple doors. The temple will open only after a year.
Hundreds of devotees flocked to the temple on the last day to have a darshan of the deity. The gold ornaments adorning the deity during the festivities, and the temple keys were handed over to the State treasury for safe-keeping in presence of senior officials of the district administration.
The year-round, the temple was opened for a 9-day period from November 1 onwards whereas last year it was open for 11 days.
