Hate spread through social media; a person booked

Moodbidri: A case has been registered against a man by entrepreneur Abdul Lathif at Moodbidri police station, accusing him of spreading communal hate through fake social media accounts.
The accused has been identified as Ibrahim Khaleel from Murali village in Sullia, is currently working in Abu Dhabi and had created many fake profiles on Facebook through which he posted communally provocative posts. Annoyed by his manner od spreading hatred, Abdul filed a complaint with the police.
Of his many fake accounts, the accused Khaleel had one by the name of Devdas Dalit through which he posted posts against religious leaders and sent obscene message to Muslim youth. Khaleel belongs to the Salafi sect and was indulged in insulting Muslim leaders of other sects too.
After Khaleel made derogatory posts against some religious leaders, a few of them were able to identify the accused post which he started threatening the leaders. The accused has misusd the photos of others and also forwarded such messages through Whatsapp.
