Haveri: At least 4 persons, including 2 kids, killed as lorry smashes into 2 cars

Haveri: At least four persons, including two children, were killed in a ghastly road accident between two cars and a lorry near Kadur cross in Rattihalli taluk here on Saturday.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the man behind the wheels of the lorry carrying Maize lost control and smashed into the two oncoming cars. The cars were completely mangled in the wreckage.

Two occupants of the car were killed on the spot while two others were breathed their last on the way to the hospital, sources said and another six people sustained injuries in the incident.

The injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals in the district, sources added.

The accident took place within the Rattihalli police station limits.
