The Karnataka High Court directed the BBMP to fill the 43 potholes at various places within the city limits by 1:30 pm today.

The court expected the BBMP to complete filling up the potholes which was pointed out by the petitioner but since it failed, it had directed to fill the potholes by 1:30 pm today.

The BBMP said that the they are still working on filling the potholes and that there has been considerable progress which was not accepted by the court.

The court further said that the work is not complete from a month now and it has crossed its deadline. It added that if BBMP cannot do it some other agency will do it and this will come through an order after announcing BBMP as a failure and it will come with a heavy price.
The court also asked BBMP counsel to submit the areas in which the pothole filling work will be carried out tonight.

The court adjourned the hearing if the case to 1:30 pm.
