HC directs BBMP to design a waste management manual

Bengaluru: BBMP has developed an awareness program on handling waste to its ward members.

The Solid Waste Management Round Table members said that a manual was compiled after receiving directions from the High Court to the BBMP to design a micro plan for ward-level solid waste management.

The manual has been shared with the concerned members such as BBMP corporators, master trainers and zonal coordinators who distribute it among the ward members.

Sarfaraz Khan, BBMP’s Joint Commissioner (Health and Solid Waste Management) said that this was for the first time such a manual has been put together to be made available for the public. This will be on BBMP’s website soon he added.
