HD Kumaraswamy to begin preparations for ‘new budget’ from June 21

Bengaluru: The way toward setting up “a new budget” of the Janata Dal (Secular)– Congress coalition government has been set lead by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, with the declaration of the announcements of pre-budget meetings with Ministers and heads of various departments, beginning from this Thursday.
This comes in the midst of disparate perspectives communicated by the former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy over the introduction of the budget plan. While Siddaramaiah has recommended there is no compelling reason to exhibit another financial plan and that a supplementary budget plan would improve the situation in the coalition government, Kumaraswamy has told media in New Delhi that a supplementary budget plan would not assist the new government with setting the objectives.
Detailed schedule of the pre-budget meetings, discharged by the Chief Minister’s office on Sunday, portrayed it as “a new budget”, in opposition to Mr. Siddaramaiah’s contention.
