HDK lays foundation stone for drinking water plant in Ramnagar

Ramnagar: Foundation stone for drinking water plant in Kanwa Jalashai of Ramnagar District was laidby Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Tuesday.
The plant is estimated to be constructed at the cost of 540 crore rupees and will provide drinking water to all the Taluks of the district.
As per the sources, the plant will supply drinking water to all the villages and cities of Channapatna, Magadi, Ramnagar, Kanakpur Taluks using gravitational power from Kaveri River to Egaluru HD Devegowda barrage.
210 cusec water will be transferred to Eggaluru, Kanwa, Vaijigudda, Manjanabele from Kaveri River using pipeline from this plant.
ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಹೆಚ್ ಡಿ ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ರಾಮನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಸುಮಾರು 540ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ವೆಚ್ಚದ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಕಣ್ವಾ ಜಲಾಶಯ ಬಳಿ ಗುದ್ದಲಿ ಪೂಜೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.
ಸತ್ತೇಗಾಲ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾವೇರಿ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಇಗ್ಗಲೂರು ಹೆಚ್ ಡಿ ದೇವೇಗೌಡ ಬ್ಯಾರೆಜ್ ಗೆ ಗುರುತ್ವಾಕರ್ಷಣೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ pic.twitter.com/a3XOdAYqus— Karnataka Varthe (@KarnatakaVarthe) June 18, 2019
