HDK to hold protest in support of farmers

Bengaluru: JD(S) state president, former CM, H D Kumaraswamy told that his party would join hands with the farmers in their protest against the Cauvery water release to Tamil Nadu.
HDK stated that the farmers are in trouble and are worried about the climatic conditions. Especially in Mandya district the farmers are protesting against the State Government to stop releasing Cauvery water to the neighboring state.
Speaking after holding a meeting with district presidents of the party at the JD(S) office, Kumaraswamy said the party will release its first list of 150 candidates to contest the next Assembly elections after Ashada Maasa (considered an inauspicious month according to the Hindu calendar). “The list is ready and it is now with the national president (HD Deve Gowda). It will be released in Shravana Maasa (considered an auspicious month).”
HDK further said that the he will organize a rally of farmers in Hubli on the 21st of July and around four lakh farmers would take part in the rally
