Peanuts also known as ” Poor man’s almond” are rich in vitamins and minerals, though they are high in fats and carbohydrates, do not add to the weight gain.

Below is a list of health benefits of consuming peanuts.

  1. Consuming peanuts everyday helps in maintaining low blood pressure as it regulates the flow of blood and thus reducing the risks of heart diseases.
  2. Peanuts have good fat which give you more energy, keeping you full for longer time, thus helping in weight loss.
  3. Peanuts are rich in Manganese, helping the body in maintaining body health structure .
  4. They are rich in protein content and peanut butter added on toast is a good pre-workout or mid day snack adding to total protein.
  5. Zinc present in peanuts help the body to transfer vitamin A required for clear vision.
  6. Vitamin B3, Niacin present in peanuts helps in healthy skin formation.
  7. Consuming peanuts is said to increase good cholesterol in the body which is good for heart.
  8. Peanuts have Resveratrol, an antioxidant which help in reducing Heart and Cancer diseases.
