Bengaluru: Demands for starting a multispeciality hospital in Uttara Kannada have gotten steam after the Shiroor Toll Gate ambulance accident on July 20 which claimed four lives.
Local youths started a Twitter campaign highlighting the issue, which has prompted assurances from state health minister Dr. Sudhakar K.
Taking to Twitter on Monday (July 25) State Health Minister Dr. Sudhakar made a series of tweets assuring the public about building a hospital for the district.
His tweet thread read, “I’ve read the social media messages of the locals of Uttara Kannada district demanding for a state-of-the-art multispeciality hospital and a trauma care centre. I’ll bring this to the notice of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and will ensure that necessary steps would be in this regard”.
“I’ll also discuss the health infrastructure necessities with the legislators and local leader of Uttara Kannada. We’ll work on it soon”, he tweeted.
