Heavy rain likely in coastal districts till Sep 11, yellow alert declared

Mangaluru: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rains in the coastal districts till September 11 and Yellow alert has been declared.
Coastal Karnataka will receive moderate rains till September 11. Dakshina Kannada district received 18.6 mm of rain from Wednesday morning till Thursday morning, whereas, Udupi taluk received 41.3 mm rain.
Due to heavy rains several houses have been destroyed in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada Taluk.
