Heavy rain wreaks havoc in Belthangady Taluk, Residents shifted as a precautionary measure

Belthangady: Due to the heavy rains for the past few days in the district, there is a rise in the water level of river Nethravathi
As a precautionary measure, around eight families have been moved to safer places.
Also, Ganesh Nagar of Mithabagilu village has been identified as one of the most dangerous places and around 32 families staying in this region have been shifted.
Assistant Commissioner Yatish Ullal, and Tahsildar Mahesh J conducted a quick inspection of the village on Thursday, Aug 6
It is said that a few families have been shifted to a government school in Mithabagilu village and a few have been sent to their relatives or friends’ place.
