Udupi: Incessant rains over the past two days have resulted in a hilly section of the busy Udupi-Manipal road on Tuesday, raising concerns about the safety of the residents and commuters in the area.

The collapse occurred at the base of a hill along the road section between Syndicate Circle to Laxmindra Nagar, posing a significant threat to vehicles traveling from Manipal to Udupi.

There is a house close to the site of the mudslide. The landslide has left the hillside in an unstable and dangerous condition. Locals urged the administration to take appropriate action urgently to prevent further damage.
