Heavy rains in Karavali for next 3 days

Mangaluru/Udupi: After a small break in its motion, the monsoon rain has again intensified since Thursday night and poured down incessantly on Friday.

The continuous rain that covered Mangaluru the entire day inundated low lying areas thus causing trouble for vehicular movement. Good rain was recorded at Tekkatte, Mulki, Madyanthar, Padubidri, Punjalakatte, Venur, Mandantyar, Bantwal, Surathkal, Subrhamanya, Kadaba, Karkala, Puttur, Uppinangady, Belthangady and Guruvayanakere.

There was good rain throughout Udupi district. In the morning, the gathering clouds cast a dark shadow giving signs of the imminent downpour. There have been reports from various location in Kundapur taluk and Shirva that there was good rain followed by damage.

According to the information from the weather department, there is a warning that there will be heavy rains along Karnataka’s coast for the next three days.
