Heavy rains lash parts of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada districts

Manipal: Heavy rains were reported from across many areas in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on the evening of January 9. The rains accompanied with thuder and lightning have disrupted normal life the twin districts.

Thundershowers were reported from Kundapur and Karkala from 5 pm to 6 pm. No reports of damage from the rains have been reported yet.

Light drizzle were reported from Udupi, kaup, Brahmavara and Kota.

Heavy rainfall anf thunderstorms were reported from Haladi and surrounding areas.

Rains also fell on Basrur, Siddapura and Belman.

Heavy downpour was reported at Sullia. While Bajpe and Kinnigoli received moderate rainfall.
