A BMTC bus lost control and collided with several vehicles, including bikes and cars, on Monday, August 12, resulting in injuries to at least two people.

The incident occurred on the Hebbal Flyover, where the BMTC bus crashed into multiple vehicles. The accident was captured on the bus’s CCTV camera, showing the driver steering the vehicle with one hand.

The Volvo bus was en route from the airport to the city when it rammed into several stationary vehicles, including four cars and five two-wheelers. The footage reveals that the driver failed to stop the bus as traffic halted, instead pushing forward and causing the collisions.

The bus finally came to a stop after about 10 seconds, during which a car was dragged several meters. The bus conductor can be seen rushing towards the driver’s seat, asking why the brakes were not applied.

It is reported that the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, leading to the series of collisions.
