Hebri: Continuous heavy rains over the past two days have caused the Seetha River near Hebri to overflow, leading to the suspension of vehicular traffic between Agumbe and Hebri.
On Monday night, as the water levels rose, vehicular movement gradually decreased and was eventually completely halted by nightfall. The overflowing water reached nearby shops and hotels, and the surrounding farmlands were inundated.
Traffic Ban:
On Tuesday morning, heavy rains continued, causing the water level of the Seetha River to rise further. In response, Hebri Police Station Officer Mahesh T. issued a directive banning vehicular traffic on the Hebri-Someshwara route.
Travelers are advised to take alternative routes via Mandimurkai, Madamakki, and Someshwara to reach Agumbe from Hebri.
