In a devastating incident near Sitanadi Jakkanamakki on Sunday, two teachers lost their lives in a car accident, while another teacher sustained serious injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Subbanna Ganiga, and Soma Shekhar.
The accident involved a collision between a bus traveling from Udupi to Agumbe and the car carrying the teachers who were returning to Udupi after attending a wedding in Chennagiri.
Sudarshan, another teacher who was in the car, sustained severe injuries and has also been admitted to Manipal Hospital for emergency medical care.
