Brahmavar: A meeting of the members of Heddari Jagruthi Samithi and police personnel was held at Kota police station on February 15.
The meeting was held under the leadership of the Brahmavar police circle inspector, Anantapadmanabha.
In the meeting, the Samithi members insisted the concession of tolls be extended to the locals. Meanwhile, the Navayuga officials, responsible for toll collection asserted as FASTag has been made mandatory concessions cannot be extended.
The Samithi members were adamant on their demand and claimed that any decision on FASTag must be decided at the Disha meeting and that they outright opposed the toll collection in the absence of Disha meeting in which district-level people’s representatives and MP participate.
Heddari Jagruthi Samithi placed a demand to suspend toll collection from locals at the Sastan tollgate till the Disha meeting is convened.
The Samithi even proposed to launch agitation by refusing to pay toll charges, if the officials are adamant on toll collection.
