Bengaluru: On Wednesday, the Karnataka High Court adjourned the hearing of Mohammed Nalapad Harris to Friday as the special public prosecutor Shyam Sunday requested for two more days to document his statement of objections.
Mohammed Nalapad, son of MLA NA Haris had filed a criminal petition at the High Court seeking bail. His advocate, Usman had appealed for a bail mainly on the reason that Vidwath was discharged from the hospital which would rule out the IPC section 307 (Attempt to murder) case.
The Karnataka High Court has decided that the hearing on the petiton will be held on March 9.
To recall the incident, Mohammed Nalapad and six of his associates had brutally thrashed Vidwath, son of an entrepreneur in a cafe at UB city on February 17. Mohammed Nalapad was absconding after the incident but surrendered to the police on February 20.
