Hijab case referred to larger bench headed by K’taka Chief Justice

Bengaluru: The Hijab case was that was being heard by a single judge bench was transferred to a higher bench on Wednesday.
After hearing submissions and arguments from all parties, Justice Krishna Dixit referred the matter to a higher bench that would be headed by the Chief Justice of the High Court.
“Having regard to the enormity of questions of importance which are debated, the court is of the considered opinion that the papers be put at the hand of CJ to decide if a larger bench can be constituted in the subject matter”- Justice Dixit noted in the order.
The question of interim order will also be considered by the larger bench, he added.
