Hijab row: Cops show strength through route march in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Amid Hijab vs Saffron shawl row in the state and the general prevailing conditions due to the murder in Shivamogga, police personnel on Monday, February 21, held a peace march in the city.
The march from Ballalbagh to the police commissioner via Ambedkar circle was led by the city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar and DCP (law and order) Hariram Shankar.
Around 300 police personnel participated in the march.
Traffic movement on the busy MG Road and KS Rao road was disrupted for hours leading to public inconvenience.
