Hindu jagruti seek to ban valentine’s day celebration

Mangaluru: Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti seeked for a ban on Valentine’s Day celebration and instead celebrate ‘Parents’ Worship Day’ in schools and colleges.
The samiti said that Valentine’s day is being celebrated across the country. This should be celebrated as ‘Parents’ Worship Day’ and the youth should be taught to respect elders and parents, they said.
The Samiti also requested the police officers to set up special police squads with the aim of acting against people involved with improper activities or conduct.
