Chennai: Recently, a video of a drunk fan attacking Tamil Actor Vijay Sethupathi’s aide at the Bengaluru airport had gone viral on social media.

Now, a group known as the Hindu Makkal Katchi (Indu Makkal Katchi) has announced a reward of Rs 1,001 to whoever ‘kicks’ actor Vijay Sethupathi. The group claims that he insulted a revered freedom fighter and the country.

In a tweet, the group claimed that Sethupathi insulted freedom fighter Deivathiru Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Ayya and the country.

“Arjun Sampath announces cash award for kicking actor Vijay Sethupathi for insulting Thevar Ayya. 1 kick = Rs.1001/- for anyone who kicks him, until he apologises,” the tweet read.

Arjun Sampath told India today that he spoke to Maha Gandhi, the man who attacked Vijay Setupathi’s aide.

It is said that Maha Gandhi wanted to wish Vijay Sethupathi for receiving the national award. But Sethupathi sarcastically replied that this is not a nation at all.

Maha Gandhi then invited him to attend Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Puja. But Sethupathi replied that the only Thevan (God) in the world is Jesus. This is said to be the reason for the man to attack his aide.
