Hindutva activist Chaithra Kundapur hospitalised

Mangaluru: Hindutva activist Chaithra Kundapur, who is in custody for the alleged assault on Hindu Jagaran Vedike (HJV) Sullia taluk secretary Guruprasad Panja, was hospitalized after she was suffering from fever on Friday October 25th.

On October 24th, he young journalist-turned-Hindutva activist is known for her aggressive speeches was arrested after she allegedly assaulted the taluk secretary of HJV with the help of her supporters at Subrahmanya in Sullia taluk.

Chaithra, along with her six supporters were nabbed by the police on Thursday, October 25th and produced before Sullia JMFC (Judicial Magistrate of First Class) Court which remanded them to judicial custody until November 3rd.

According to sources however, Chitra was admitted to the prison ward of Wenlock Hospital after she was suffering from fever on Friday afternoon.

Clarification video goes viral

A video footage of Chaithra has gone viral on social media. In the video, Chaithra clarifies that she did not assault Guruprasad, but instead pushed him for self-defense when he attempted to attack her. She further claims in the video that Guruprasdas and his supporters had damaged the car she was plying in and had also hatched a plan to murder her.
