Ullal: An unidentified vehicle rammed into two laborers near Jeppinamogaru on National Highway 66 on August 12.
The accident took place at around 8 am when labourers were engaged in pruning the grass and plant overgrowth beside the highway. An unknown vehicle moving towards Mangluru from Thokottu mowed them down and sped away without stopping.
One among them, identified as Vicky Khan (23) from Bihar, was killed on the spot. While the other, identified as Gopal Poojary, has been rushed to the hospital.
Police are on the search for the vehicle, suspected to be a pick-up.
A case has been registered at Naguri Traffic Police Station.
