Bengaluru: Home minister Araga Jnanendra promised to establish a specialized police unit to tackle love jihad.
The Hindu Janajagruti committee met the Home Minister at his residence and submitted an appeal.
The committee claimed that despite laws being in place to forbid religious conversion, love jihad is still rampant and urged the formation of a special police squad.
They also alleged that the Shahin gang is active in five districts of Karnataka and a few Madarasas and Moulvis are also encouraging these atrocities.
