Holiday declared for schools and PUCs in Mangaluru Taluk for July 8

Mangaluru: Due to heavy rainfall in the coastal region, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has declared a holiday for schools and PUCs in Mangaluru Taluk.

Anganwadis, schools, and pre-university (PU) colleges in Mangaluru Taluk, including Mangaluru City Corporation, Mangaluru A Hobli, Surathkal Hobli and Guruppura Hobli, on July 8 (Monday) for the safety of the students.

Mangaluru Tahsildar issued orders declaring the holiday on Sunday late evening.

Continuous rainfall has been reported in the coastal areas of the district, and the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rain on Monday as well.
