Kottigehara: A holiday has been declared for schools in Mudigere taluk on Friday.
The order, issued by Tehsildar Nagaraj, said that schools in the taluk – from Anganwadi to 10th standard, shall remain closed on Friday due to the heavy rains. the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure for the safety of the children.
Meanwhile, torrential rains continue their fury in the Chikkamagaluru district causing widespread damage to life and property.
