Honey trap racket busted: Five, including women arrested

Bengaluru: Three women and two men are arrested by the Kothanur police for allegedly blackmailing people for money. The gang tried to blackmail a fish vendor for money. The fish vendor approached the police and the racked was busted.

The accused has been identified as Shahina(40), Noori S harma(35), Salma Parvin(27), Sajid Shiek(38) and Syed Sharif(30).

According to the police, the women would attract rich businessmen to pre planned places promising them, of sexual favours. Sajid and Syed would record videos of the victims and then blackmail them demanding money, threatening the victim of a rape case or uploading the photo on social media.

The enquiry revealed that the gang had duped many men but none had complained fearing the leakage of the footage. Their luck ran out when one such victim lodged a complaint with the police.
