Honeypreet confesses to inciting Panchkula violence

New Delhi: Priyanka Taneja alias Honeypreet Insan, adopted daughter of Baba Ram Rahim Singh, who is in the custody of Haryana Police, has confessed to inciting violence in Panchkula post conviction of the Dera chief on August 25.

Honeypreet was one among the most wanted by Haryana and Punjab, was successfully arrested from the Zirakpur-Patiala road in Punjab on October 3.

Honeypreet’s police remand was extended by three days till October 13 by a court on Tuesday. The police had sought a nine day remand for Honeypreet but the court, after hearing the arguments, sent her to a three-day police custody.

The violence had claimed lives of 36 people most of them supporters of the rape convict.
