Valentine’s Day is Christian culture – Muthalik

Udupi: Instead of celebrating Valentine’s Day, lets honour our parents, said Sri Rama Sene founder Pramod Muthalik on Sunday, February 10th.

Addressing the media on sidelines of Hindu Rashtra Jagruthi meeting here in Udupi, Muthalik said, “It is a culture followed by Christians. We do not need such western culture. We will approach deputy commissioners across the state and urge them not to allow Valentine’s Day celebration. Instead of lover’s day, we should honour our parents. We will not take law into our hands. If we see any such incident at parks and roads, we will inform police.”

Audio –Video issue

Speaking about BJP’s claim of possessing video of chief minister H D Kumaraswamy demanding money from MLAs’, Muthalik said that the party should have filed a complaint and approach court if they had the clip.

“We are witnessing dirty political situation in Karnataka. We need to reject all three national parties. If one party drops an audio bomb, another comes up with a video. If the BJP has video against Kumaraswamy, whey they are not releasing it? Also if the BJP is really innocent, why it has not yet filed a defamation suit against audio released by Kumaraswamy? If you have not committed any mistake, then approach court,” said Muthalik.

I doubt BJP is an honest party. It has forgotten its Hindutva agenda now. They are making deals in crores to get back to power. Our hard earned money in the form of tax is wasted for these deals made by political parties,” he added.

“There is no place for honesty and Hindutva in today’s politics. Though PM Modi has done good work, there is no change in the BJP party,” he observed and added that he will not contest in Lok Sabha polls.
