Hop on! IT Minister Priyank Kharge checks out Uber Shuttle at Bengaluru Tech Summit

At the 2024 Bengaluru Tech Summit, Minister for Information Technology and Biotechnology, Priyank Kharge, made a visit to the Uber display to check out Uber Shuttle – the newest offering in India from the global mobility app.
Accompanied by Prabhjeet Singh, President, Uber India, the minister was given a demo of how the app works and the Uber Shuttle product that helps more people book their travel in larger vehicles like Shuttles helping take vehicles off the road. The mass-transit mobility solution is designed for urban commuters, featuring real-time tracking, digital payments, pre-booked seats, and air-conditioned pocket-friendly rides, running on fixed routes.
The Minister asserted the need for tech-driven solutions to tackle traffic congestion and create a smarter and more efficient transport system for cities like Bengaluru. Uber Shuttle has been launched in Delhi and Kolkata in partnership with State Governments and has been gaining popularity among city commuters.
