A complaint has been lodged with Indore police after a horse, used at the BJP party’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra in the city on Thursday was painted in colours of the saffron party flag.
As per reports, ex-municipal corporator Ramdas Garg had rented the horse for the yatra and had got it painted in the BJP flag colours along with the party symbol. The party name was written vertically down its body and a printed BJP scarf tied round its neck.
Local representatives of the BJP MP Maneka Gandhi’s NGO, People for Animals (PFA), have filed a complaint at Indore’s Sanyogitaganj police station, seeking an FIR under The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
The issue is also likely to be brought to the notice of the Election Commission.
