Bengaluru: Horticulture minister M C Managuli and other senior officials of state government, who are presently on a week-long trip to Israel have come in for harsh criticism from social media users after an inverted tricolour went unnoticed by them.

The gaffe was noticed after a photo of the meeting held between state officials and Israeli counterparts emerged. The purpose of the tour is to study the implementation of micro-irrigation schemes under agriculture and horticulture crops in that country.

The flag, placed atop the table in front of the minister is seen hosted upside down in the photo of the meeting. Social media users who were quick to notice this are questioning if the ministers could not have set it right themselves or have asked the concerned authorities to do so.
