Hosanagara: The body of the young man who drowned at Yadur Abbi Falls on Sunday was found on Monday morning.
Despite intense search efforts by the fire brigade and locals under the leadership of PSI Ramesh since Sunday afternoon, Vinod, a resident of Ballari, could not be found. This raised suspicions that Vinod had drowned.
On Monday morning, after a search operation led by diving experts Eshwar Malpe and his team, including Kota Jeevan Mitra and Nagaraj Putran, Vinod’s body was retrieved from a crevice underwater.
After conducting a post-mortem examination at the government hospital, the body was taken to his hometown Mincheri in Ballari district.
Vinod was one of the twelve tourists from Bengaluru who had visited Yadur Abbi Falls on Sunday.
