Hospet: A youth was crushed to death and another youth was injured after a crane carrying the Ganesh idol tilted during the procession.
The deceased youth has been identified as Ashok (18).
The incident took place during Ganesh visarjan procession. The crane carrying the Ganesh idol tilted towards one side of a bridge as a result people got stuck in between the crane and the sidewalls.
While Ashok was killed on the spot, a few others were injured.
After learning about the incident the Fire service department and the police arrived at the spot and rescued the people.
