Hostel warden commits suicide after being blackmailed by journos, alleges family

Bengaluru: A hostel warden committed suicide after being blackmailed by a few journalists.
The deceased is Devendrappa, a warden working with the social welfare department.
Though Devendrappa committed suicide recently, his family members have now alleged that Devendrappa committed suicide because he was under pressure from journalists who were blackmailing him, making him turn to liquor for solace.
The family members also informed that few journalists were visiting his residence and demanding money.
The family members further demanded the police to find out the culprits and take severe action them, informed.
Following the complaint by the family members, the Anekal police have now launched an investigation into the allegations.
