Hotel owner dragged by hair, assaulted with wooden logs for objecting to drinking in public

Bengaluru: A restaurant owner was allegedly attacked by a group after he objected to their drinking and littering in public in the city’s KR Puram locality.
The victim is Devendra (33) of TC Palya, he runs a restaurant named Patiala Tandoor. The incident took place a week ago while the victim was feeding his two pet dogs and some strays outside his house.
When Devendra spotted a five-member group consuming liquor and littering he told them not litter and drink in public. Irked by this, they summoned him to their car and eventually started abusing him.
Reportedly, when Devendra tried to walk away, one of them pulled him by my hair, dragged him to the road while another man started punching him.
The restaurant owner also alleged that one of the persons brought some wooden logs from a nearby construction site and started assaulting him with them, while another man attempted to attack him with a dagger.
