Mysuru: Janata Dal (Secular) MLA G T Deve Gowda has clarified the ‘political talks’ that were taking place between him and former chief minister and veteran Congress leader Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to the media on Thursday about Siddaramaiah’s comment towards him stating ‘what big has he done to the people of Chamundeshwari Constituency’, GTD sarcastically replied “Yes, I agree that he has done a lot of development when he was the chief minister and deputy chief minister of the state. I’ve even lauded him for that. I’m just an MLA and have only a year of experience being a minister in the previous Congress-JD(S) coalition government. How can I match up to him? People of my constituency are aware of what development works I’ve done”.
Further, he added, “Siddaramaiah has neither asked me to join the Congress party nor has he told me to leave JD(S). His only suggestion is not to join the BJP. But I’ll take a call in another three to four months’ time”.
